The Amsterdam-based startup accelerator Rockstart adds to its team of the coaches and advisors the Dutch captains of industry Joris van Heukelom and Sebastiaan Hooft. Van Heukelom, former CEO of Sanoma Digital, is an expert on product development and smart ‘to-market’ strategies. He is currently partner at MakerStreet.
Hooft is a serial-entrepreneur and co-founder of one of the largest Dutch online retail sites for computer hardware, Central Point. He has built successful internet, fashion and media firms.
Rockstart Accelerator is a startup incubator founded by serial entrepreneur Oscar Knepper that helps Europe’s most promising startups launch and expand their companies on a global scale. Each year the accelerator supports 10 startup with 99 mentors for 100 days, 15.000 seed capital and the possibility to get a capital infusion for expansion of €100k to €1M. The program culminates in a 25-day Silicon Valley roadtrip.
Van Heukelom and Hooft have teamed up as entrepreneur & expert in residence. Notable visiting advisors and coaches are Werner Vogels CTO of Amazon.com, Dees Chinniah of Mozilla en Ash Mauryavan of Spark59, among others.
